We’re Driving the Audi e-tron Tomorrow

Today is a travel day for us, as we’re headed to (hopefully) beautiful California to drive the Audi e-tron. While the e-tron has been driven by many journalists worldwide already, this will be our first actual go in it. We’ve seen it several times in person, poked around inside it and checked its tech. But tomorrow will be our first actual drive of Audi’s first ever electric car.

It’s going to be an interesting drive, as we’ll be driving it a couple hundred miles to Lake Tahoe. That’s quite a far drive for the e-tron but that’s sort of the point. The idea is for us to test out the charging capabilities of the e-tron by stopping halfway through the trip for a bite to eat and a charge. We’ll be testing out Audi’s 150 kW charging capabilities, which makes the Audi e-tron the fastest charging EV on the market at the moment (while Tesla is catching up, Audi still holds the advantage in sustained charge speed).

It should be a very interesting trip, filled with some great driving and stunning scenery. Hopefully some good wine sprinkled in as well, as we’ll be in the heart of wine country.

So we’ll be a bit quite the next few days, as there will be a lot of driving and testing, so if there’s a bit of radio silence from us, that’s why. Though, we will be posting as much as we can. Stay tuned to all our social media channels for live updates about the e-tron, its charging and our time out in California. Also, if you have any questions about the Audi e-tron, its charge capabilities or the drive itself, let us know in the comments below or on our Instagram and we’ll answer as many as possible in a video to follow.
