VIDEO: Watch the Audi RS6 Avant Launch in new Auditography Video

At the moment, the Audi RS6 Avant is the darling of the four-ringed brand, at least for enthusiasts. Not only is it an awesome car, being a 600 hp wagon and whatnot, but it’s the first ever RS6 Avant to come to the United States. So to say we’re excited about it is a criminal understatement.

In this new video from Auditography, we get to see the new Audi RS6 Avant in all of its brutal, pavement-punishing glory.

As per usual with Auditography, this video is beautifully shot and features some lovely camera work. It also shows off a 0-60 mph launch, which is mightily impressive. Audi might claim a 0-60 time of 3.6 seconds but it looks faster than that. The way the Audi RS6 Avant fires off the line in this video makes it seem every bit as fast as its competitors, the BMW M5 and AMG E63, both of which can hit 60 mph in under three seconds.

The video also shows off how good looking the car is. It’s not often that wagons genuinely excite enthusiasts with their looks, even fast ones. More often than not, we just like wagons because they offer better practicality while still maintaining sport sedan-levels of performance and handling. The Audi RS6 Avant is a bit of an exception, though, as it looks fantastic. It’s brutal and aggressive in ways that the standard Audi A6 just can’t even begin to hope to be. In fact, it barely looks like it’s related to the A6, which is shocking considering Audi Sport’s typically reserved styling.

If there’s a complaint, and we’re really nitpicking here, it’s that the interior isn’t as aggressive as we’d hoped it’d be. The seats are great and the ‘RS’ mode for the Virtual Cockpit is very cool but, aside from that, the rest of the cabin is barely different from an A6 with an S-Line package.

Still, we adore the Audi RS6 Avant and we yearn to drive it. If you do as well, check this video.
