VIDEO: Watch an 820 HP Audi R8 V10 hit 320 km/h

We always love seeing people tune Audi R8s, as if 600 horsepower and 0-60 mph in 2.8 seconds isn’t fast enough. This specific one in this new video from AutoTopNL not only has a monstrous 820 horsepower but it also looks like a GT3 car for the road. The louvers on the hood, along with the massive rear wing and crazy aero on the front bumper makes it look more like the Audi R8 LMS GT3 race car than the standard road car, which is admittedly awesome.

This incredible look Audi R8 is the work of MTM and it’s one of the coolest looking R8 builds we’ve seen. To make the immense 820 horsepower, MTM slapped a supercharger on the 5.2 liter V10, among other things. To help it keep all of that power on the tarmac, it sits on gorgeous BBS ultra-lightweight wheels, which wear Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. So it’s a proper performance machine.

The MTM Audi R8 Looks More Like This Than a Standard R8

So how fast can this heavily tuned, wild looking Audi R8 go? In this new video, we get to see its Autobahn run and it hits a top speed of 320 km/h (198 mph). Now, considering the fact that the standard Audi R8 can hit about 200 mph without its speed limiter, we suspect that this specific R8 might be able to do more.

Although, probably not much more due to all of its aerodynamic upgrades. That massive wing and the lower front lip are likely causing a ton of high-speed drag. That’s great for track use, as it will keep the R8 firmly planted to the ground through corners and help it lap tracks at incredible speeds. However, for straight-line blitzes on the Autobahn, that aero is actually going to put a surprisingly low ceiling on its top speed. Even still, this MTM-tuned Audi R8 is awesome, so have a watch.
