VIDEO: Tuned Audi RS Q8 Sounds Insane with Downpipes and Sports Cat

As far as performance SUVs go, the Audi RS Q8 is one of the best. It packs a monster 4.0 liter twin-turbo V8 with 591 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque and nails 60 mph in the low three-second range. There’s been no one who’s driven an RS Q8 and thought, “Yea, I like it but it’s a bit slow.” Not anyone sane, at least. Thankfully, there are some truly insane tuners in the world, willing to push already absurdly fast cars past what sane people would think possible. Such as the tuned Audi RS Q8 in this video.

In this new video from Auditography, we’re subjected to the aural artillery that is a tuned Audi RS Q8 with a sportier catalytic converter and upgraded downpipes. It also makes 760 bhp and 781 lb-ft of torque (1,060 Nm), allowing it to rocket from 0-60 mph in 3.1 seconds, but that’s of no consequence. We can’t feel the car’s speed in this video and we don’t have the means to buy an RS Q8 and tune it. However, we can hear it and it sounds gnarly.

We’ve heard this new twin-turbo V8 with custom exhausts before, on cars like the Audi RS6 and Lamborghini Urus. However, it might sound best with just a new cat and some downpipes. Leave the fancy exhaust at home because this car sounds absolutely killer. It sounds so brawny at idle and low rpm but its pitch raises as the rpms do and it begins to scream a bit. It doesn’t just sound loud and angry but it actually makes some music. Eat your heart out, Corvette.

While you have to be a bit insane to want to spend thousands of dollars tuning an already ballistic RS Q8 and only shaving a couple of tenths off its 0-60 mph time, making it louder definitely sounds like a good idea. Quite literally, actually.
