The Audi S3 Cabriolet is making a comeback in a video tour released by the company’s official UK channel on YouTube. The model premiered back in March at the Geneva Motor Show before starting to hit dealerships this past summer and in United Kingdom it can be had at a starting price of £38,910. The compact convertible looks different compared to the regular A3 Cabrio as it adopts a more aggressive body with faux aluminum mirror caps and a tweaked front grille.
Also noticeable are the honeycomb mesh grille inserts, a platinum-gray rear diffuser, trunk-mounted spoiler, 18-inch alloy wheels and a quad exhaust system denoting we are dealing with a very potent convertible. On the inside the Audi S3 Cabriolet gets a sport steering wheel, brushed matte aluminum trim, an updated instrument cluster, stainless steel pedals along with several metallic accents to spice up the cabin.
The highlight of the Audi S3 Cabriolet is without any doubt it’s four-cylinder 2.0-liter TFSI turbocharged gasoline engine outputting no less than 300 PS (221 kW) and a maximum torque of 280 lb-ft (380 Nm). The engine works with a 6-speed S tronic gearbox and a quattro AWD system allowing the open-top vehicle accelerate from a standstill to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 5.4 seconds en route to an electronically-capped 155 mph (250 km/h).
Audi says the S3 Cabriolet has a fuel consumption of 7.1 liters / 100 km with corresponding CO2 emissions of 165 g/km.
