Audi’s “Think Faster” web series is a funny new series that features famous people being driven around in a fast Audi on the Streets of Willow race track while they answer Reddit AMA questions. It’s funny to watch famous people who have never been on a race track before, or even in a car that’s going as fast as these, try and think and answer questions while traveling at very high speeds. The first two guests to take part were Elizabeth Banks and Adam Scott, both in an Audi TT RS. The latest episode of Think Faster features Olivia Munn (Newsroom, X-Men: Apocalypse) who gets driven around in an Audi R8 V10.
In this video, Munn gets on a race track for the first time and experiences all 540 hp (not 450 hp, Sal. All good, though) from the Audi R8’s 5.2 liter naturally-aspirated V10. All of that power allows the Audi R8 V10 to get from 0-60 mph in 3.2 seconds and flirts with a 200 mph top speed. That sort of performance is something new to Munn, as it is with almost all “Think Faster” participants. So when they first set out, the speed is quite shocking for her.
Which makes it quite difficult to answer questions. As Munn fights the high-speed g-forces, specifically trying to keep her head in place, she has to answer career, as well as personal, questions. It’s funny watching her fight the g’s and the ensuing nausea while trying to answer questions.
After the first few hot laps, Munn actually switches seats and gets to drive. For someone who has never driven a car as fast as the R8, nor has ever driven on a race track, Munn does really quite well. She seems like a natural and should probably get some more track time in the future. Plus, when you’re actually behind the wheel, high-speeds and high g-forces are far easier to deal with. So she answers questions better while driving. Munn also seems to really like the car, because of course she does. The Audi R8 V10 is incredible.
Next, Munn gets back in the car for one more hot lap. Except, by that time, Munn is already quite nauseous. So by the time the lap is over, she needs to stop and get out, as the nausea is too much.
This is the best episode yet, as Olivia Munn is naturally very funny and has a knack for for driving. Check it out.
