VIDEO: Take a POV Drive in the Audi RS e-tron GT

AutoTopNL is back with another POV drive video, this time with the Audi RS e-tron GT. In my opinion, the RS e-tron GT is the best looking car Audi makes and the second-most desirable (first being the Audi R8 V10 Spyder). It’s also quite rare at the moment, having only just gone on sale in the U.S. and being less popular than the Porsche Taycan. So it might be difficult to get an idea of what it’s like to drive. That’s where this video comes in.

In this new video, you get a POV look at the RS e-tron GT; its exterior, its interior, and what it’s like to drive. At first, you get a good look around the outside of the stunning looking electric Audi. It’s a gorgeous car that looks even better in the rear world than it does in photos.

One interesting thing that stood out to me was just how quiet the cabin is. As the host of the video is walking around the car, you can both see and hear a man on a ride-on lawnmower, cutting some grass. It’s obviously loud, being a lawnmower and all. But the moment the host sits in the car and closes the door, the lawnmower sound disappears. And only once the lawnmower is right next to the car do you even kind of hear it. It’s remarkably quiet inside the Audi RS e-tron GT, which is both good and bad, depending on your preference.

It’s also explosively fast. Step on the go-pedal in the RS e-tron GT and it simply blurs the landscape. No fuss, no noise, and just a gentle hum from the artificial motor noise. Such is usually the case with electric performance cars but the Audi RS e-tron GT is among the fastest in the business. Due to Audi’s typical levels of refinement, it’s also especially smooth and quiet.

I haven’t driven any variant of the Audi e-tron GT yet but I’m hoping to soon. Once I do, I’ll be able to comment on whether it’s worthy of its “RS” badge. Until then, though, this video proves it’s certainly fast enough.
