VIDEO: The Stig takes Kevin Hart for a hot lap in the Audi R8

In last night’s episode of Top Gear, which aired in the UK but will be airing in the US tonight, one of the celebrity guest appearances was actor and comedian, Kevin Hart. While the car he had to drive for his lap around the TG test track was their new MINI Cooper, The Stig gave Hart a ride along for a hot lap in the new Audi R8 V10 Plus.

With its 5.2 liter V10 engine and 610 hp, the Audi R8 V10 Plus is capable of getting from 0-60 mph in just 3.2 seconds and is capable of over 200 mph. It’s also capable of extreme cornering speeds thanks to its brilliant Quattro all-wheel drive system and naturally balance mid-engine chassis. So a great driver, like The Stig, is able to create nausea-inducing g-forces on passengers with ease. Kevin Hart had the pleasure (displeasure?) of riding shotgun with The Stig through such driving.

In the video, Hart is typically funny while they’re stationary, waiting for The Stig to start. “Is that a fire suit that you have on?” quips Hart. “I kinda feel like we both should have that…” Hart is his usual funny self, trying to pry anything out of the ever so silent Stig. Of course it doesn’t work and The Stig takes off, using launch control and the full 610 hp fury of the V10 engine.

Kevin Hart is usually not a quiet guy, as he’s usually very fast talking and expressive, but as the R8 flies around the TG test track, he’s pretty silent. Just a few, “ohhs” and “wows” are said. After awhile, Hart looks visibly nauseous, and even confirms it, and things like hard braking from The Stig don’t seem to help. When the lap is finally over, Hart tells The Stig that he’ll never see him again and gets out pretty shaken. “That was interesting. Right now, I definitely gotta poop.” exclaims Hart (a sentence I never thought I’d type).

It’s a funny video and one that shows off both the humor of Kevin Hart and the power of the Audi R8 V10 Plus, so check it out here.

I've been in love with cars since I was a kid, specifically German cars. Now I get to drive them talk about them on the internet.
