If you live in North America and are the jealous type, don’t watch this video. For years, American enthusiasts have been complaining about the lack of Audi RS4 Avant on our shores. It’s possibly the best overall package that Audi offers, yet the Germans won’t let it out of Europe and it feels unfair. Still, it’s great to watch it get flogged around, so we can dream about what it’d be like to actually own one. Which is exactly what we get to do in this new POV drive video from AutoTopNL.
In this video, we get to see what it’s like to drive the Audi RS4 Avant, as the video is from the POV of the cockpit and it really fills us with jealousy. It’s just such a compelling overall performance package. With its sport, yet practical, body style, impressive interior with superb technology and stellar performance it’s hard not to love the RS4.
With a 2.9 liter twin-turbo V6, making 450 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque, the Audi RS4 Avant is capable of 0-60 mph in about 3.7 seconds. A decade ago, that speed was reserved for Ferraris and Lamborghinis. Now, it can be achieved in a four-door family wagon with all-wheel drive and a comfortable interior. So with an Audi RS4 Avant, you can blitz down the Autobahn and triple-digit speeds, embarrass genuine sports cars on the way, while hauling you entire family, dog and luggage along to go skiing in the Alps and when you get there still have all-wheel drive grip to manage in the snow. Though, we obviously don’t suggest driving at triple-digit speeds with kids in the car…
What I did just there was describe my perfect daily driver but one that I can’t have because the Audi RS4 Avant is forbidden fruit to my native land.
