VIDEO: Listen to this 900 hp Audi RS6 Avant

Yesterday, we saw a 705 hp Audi RS6 Avant that was tuned by ABT Sportline. In jest, we claimed that ABT may be full of crazy people for wanting more power out of the RS6 (we’re kidding of course, more power is always the answer…for everything). While that 705 hp RS6 was a beast of a machine, it seems tame compared to this 900 hp Audi RS6 Avant.

While we joked about ABT being a little nuts for wanting to up an already 606 hp car, the folks at Klasen Motors must be out of their minds. Rather than stop at 705 hp, they bumped the RS6 all the way up to 900 hp. Apparently, a massive Garrett turbocharger is what really boosted the power. At 900 hp with Quattro all-wheel drive grip and some sticky tires, this RS6 Avant must be an absolute ballistic missile of a car.

This monster RS6 was spotted at the Nurburgring, where it ran a couple of drag races against a tuned BMW M135i. It seems as if they had to keep it at 30 kp/h for the first bit of the race but once they pass that point, the Klasen-tuned RS6 simply fires away. It sounds pretty fantastic, too. There’s a guttural growl low down¬†that really shows off its V8 power. But as the revs get higher, its growl turns to a higher pitched wail. Modern turbocharged engines often sound dull and just get annoying with new exhausts. This tuned RS6 sounds muscular and mean. We like it.

In a race with a tuned BMW M4, this 900 hp RS6 simply flies by it, leaving it for dead. It’s easy to tune M4s to be seriously fast, so the fact that this RS6 beats it so easily really puts 900 hp into perspective. If you think about it for a moment, this tuned RS6 has about as much power as a McLaren P1, just with all-wheel drive grip. It’s insanity. Check it out.
