VIDEO: Go for a ride in the Audi A8 55 TSI with AutoTopNL

For many enthusiasts, the idea of driving a brand-new Audi A8 is a foreign one. To be honest, at $83,000 to start, it’s a foreign idea to most people. However, this new video from AutoTopNL allows you to sit front and center and go for a ride in the new A8 and it looks pretty fantastic.

In this new POV drive video, we get to see the Audi A8 55 TSI. If you don’t understand Audi’s new naming system, don’t worry, neither does anyone. Either way, the Audi A8 55 TSI packs the brand’s 3.0 liter turbocharged V6 from the Audi S5. That means it makes 340 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque. While it’s only one of the engines available in the A8 in Europe (where this video was shot), it’s the only engine available here in the U.S.

Though, this video isn’t about performance or dynamics, it’s all about the interior. The inside of the new Audi A8 is truly sensational. While there are some really fantastic interiors in this segment, including those of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class and BMW 7 Series, we think the Audi A8 boasts the best one. We’re not the only ones, either.

The inside of the new A8 looks more premium than almost anything without either a Bentley or Rolls Royce badge. It also looks more high-tech than almost anything on the road. While its new dual-touchscreen MMI setup might not be as easy to use while driving as the old, swivel-wheel setup, it sure looks damn good.

It also seems to be remarkably quiet on the inside, with little to no road/wind noise. Though, we’ve heard before that the new A8 is one of the quietest, if not the quietest, luxury car in its segment.

We won’t be getting the new Audi A8 here in America for awhile but we’re chomping at the bit to drive one.
