We’re quite excited about the all-new Audi RS Q3. It might just be a small crossover with a punchy engine stuffed under its hood but it looks cool, will be seriously quick and will sound good while also having some extra space for small families. Sounds good to us. If you’re as excited as we are and want to get a closer look, this new video from Carfection will do the trick.
In this new video, Carfection’s Henry Catchpole gives us a bit of a tour of the Audi RS Q3 and the RS Q3 Sportback as well. We get to see both cars’ design details and their interiors in close detail. It’s a great way to really get a good look at cars that won’t be on the road for quite some time. At least in this video, the two cars look great.
Under the skin, both the Audi RS Q3 and RS Q3 Sportback are mechanically identical. That means they get a 2.5 liter turbocharged five-cylinder engine with 400 hp and 354 lb-ft of torque. Audi claims a 0-60 mph time of about 4.5 seconds but we expect it to be a few tenths quicker than that, as Germans tend to underrate their performance figures.
If I had to choose between the two, I’d actually go for the Audi RS Q3 Sportback. Typically, I don’t like coupe-like SUVs as I find them pointless but the Sportback just seems to look a bit better and it actually has the same trunk space volume. Even though its roofline is more aggressive, the back end is actually a bit longer than the standard RS Q3. So the overall trunk space is actually the same, which is nice. Sure, its back seat space isn’t as good but that’s not so much of a problem. Oh, and I’d get it in that green because of course I would.
