A little while back, we saw that ABT Sportline released a sketch of their plans for the Audi RS6 Avant. While there’s no actual photos of what they’re going to do to it, or any specific specs, the sketches looked awesome and we can’t wait to see what ABT has in store for the RS6. In this new video, Daniel Abt himself shows us around their RS6 Avant and talks a bit about their new project car.
The video is in German, being that Abt is German, so you might have to use subtitles, which aren’t exactly accurate, but you’ll get the idea. Plus, it’s just cool to see their Audi RS6 Avant project car and know that ABT is going to do some really cool stuff to it. Also, Abt is a fantastic driver, as he’s a professional racer. He doesn’t really drive it much in the video but having him behind the wheel is just cool.
From the factory, the Audi RS6 Avant makes 591 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque from its 4.0 liter twin-turbocharged V8. That big powerplant allows it to hit 60 mph in a claimed 3.6 seconds, though we think it will be quicker than that in the real world, as all of its competitors have similar power/weight figures and are faster. Audi is also famously conservative when it comes to power figures, consistently underrating its engines.
We can only imagine the sort of car that ABT Sportsline will come up with. With that much power on tap from the beginning, we think the ABT Audi RS6 Avant could get shockingly close to 700 hp. It will also look awesome, have lowered suspension, new wheels and some interesting interior bits. Just from the sketches, it’s going to look great. We can’t wait to see it and, hopefully, see it in person.
