VIDEO: Christmas Tree shopping in an Audi R8

Talk about first-world problems. If you’ve ever seen any videos from the YouTube car channel, “Seen Through Glass“, you’d know that they often feature some of the world’s highest performing and most luxurious cars. Sam is the host of the channel and his friends often have some very nice cars. One of those friends happens to own a brand-new Audi R8 V10 Plus, which looks devilishly cool in all black with carbon fiber trim.

The Audi R8 V10 Plus is good for many things, such as hitting the race track, winding down some twisty back roads and, obviously, for showing off. However, one of the things it is not very good for is hauling Christmas Trees. That’s because the Audi R8 only has a front trunk and it has about enough space for an average sized pen. Maybe two. Christmas Trees, if you didn’t already know, are considerably larger than pens. They’re also heavy and sticky and create a big mess. So transporting one with an Audi R8 is a bad idea. Which is why it’s an awesome idea.

I have to admit, if I owned an R8, or a Ferrari or Lamborghini, I’d do the exact same thing, simply because it would be a laugh. . Quite frankly, it’s stupid and hilarious to find out just how to buy a Christmas Tree with an R8. To do so, they basically just strap it to the roof, which is actually something most people do with their standard cars and SUVS. but the roof of an R8 is quite small and its paint is quite expensive. So the tree is most likely going to scratch stuff up and generally be a nuisance. But they do end up getting it on the roof and tying it down. I don’t know why they didn’t just tie the rope, as opposed to having the girl hold tightly onto either end, but I guess it worked.

Does the video teach you anything practical? No, of course not. Does it show you how hardcore and awesome an Audi R8 is? Not really. But it’s funny and that’s really all that matters.
