Are you in the market for a small, premium crossover but want one with a bit more style than the average, boring one? Audi is hoping you do, as it’s now offering a version of its Q3 with a sportier look than the standard car. It’s called the Audi Q3 Sportback and it’s now featured on Carwow.
In this new video review, we get to see the new Audi Q3 Sportback and if it’s actually worth getting over the standard car. After all, it isn’t really any different from the standard Q3 under the skin. The only real difference between the regular Q3 and the Sportback version is their exterior styling and even much of that is the same.
Still, its sportier look might be worth it for some customers who want something a bit more bold than the average crossover.
To give it that sportier look, the Audi Q3 Sportback has a more aggressive “coupe-like” roofline and more muscular rear haunches. It does actually look pretty cool is and one of the better looking “coupe” crossovers on the market. It’s certainly better looking than the frumpy BMW X2 and the oddball Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class. What’s also nice is that it doesn’t lose much in the way of rear passenger room or cargo space, which is impressive.
Aside from that, the Q3 Sportback is essentially exactly the same as the standard car. So if you like the way the normal Q3 drives, the Audi Q3 Sportback will make you quite happy. Are its cooler looks worth its slight price premium? That’s really up to you. If you value style over cost, the Sportback model will probably make you happier. However, if you don’t care much about styling, the standard Q3 will do you just fine and you won’t be missing out on any actual driving dynamics.
