As much as us enthusiasts like to talk about horsepower and 0-60 times, those rarely matter in the real world, for real-life customers. For real customers that actually buy and live with the cars we write about, practicality, comfort and usability all matter more. Much more, in fact. Which is why this new video from CarGurus on the Audi A3 Sportback is so helpful.
In this new video review, we get to see the new A3 Sportback up close, check out its tech and its practicality. So we get to learn about what it’s actually like to live with on a daily basis. For instance, we learn about what it’s like to fit a child seat into the back seat and how much rear legroom there is for adult passengers. These things might not matter to you as an enthusiast but they matter to the vast majority of customers.
Don’t worry, though, the video does talk about its driving dynamics and its real-world performance. It’s still an Audi A3 Sportback, after all, so it needs to drive well, it needs to be relatively sporty and it needs to be comfortable. Thankfully, it is all of those things. In fact, the A3 is one of the best all-around packages in the segment. But is it good enough to put it back on top of the segment, now that there are some new, impressive cars in contention?
It might not be at the very tippy-top of the segment but it’s certainly up there with the best of them. The Audi A3 Sportback packs a ton of style, a great looking interior, great driving dynamics and good technology. It does suffer a slight drop in build quality compared to some of its competitors but it’s still very well built. So it’s up to you to make the decision on which is best but the A3 is certainly worth a look.
