Yesterday, we showed you a video of the Audi R8 V10 Plus looking gorgeous in the snow. The people of Auditogrophy did some fantastic work shooting the R8 in the snow, showing off just how much fun a mid-engined, V10 supercar can be on fresh powder. Now, they’re back but the car is different. This time, it’s an Audi RS5 Coupe in the snow and it looks almost as good.
The RS5 Coupe is a good looking car but it’s no Audi R8. Still, it’s awesome to see one having fun in the snow, in the middle of the woods like a proper Audi should. Audi’s Quattro all-wheel drive system was born in the woods in the ’80s. That’s where fast Audis belong.
In this video, we see an Audi RS5 spin tires, slide and ultimately look cool in about 4-5 inches of snow. About zero Audi RS5 owners will ever even dream of taking their expensive sports car in snow like this but we’re glad Auditogrophy did because it’s awesome.
Powering the RS5 Coupe is a 2.9 liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine that makes 450 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque. When paired with its eight-speed automatic and Quattro all-wheel drive, the RS5 is capable of 0-60 mph in about 3.9 seconds. Admittedly, it can’t get anywhere near that in the snow but it’s awesome to see it put all of that turbocharged torque down on a few inches of snow.
