The all-new Audi Q5 Sportback is the brand’s first coupe-ish version of the Q5 and it’s likely going to be quite popular with customers. That increased popularity will likely be due to its style, as sporty looking crossovers are big at the moment. In this new video from Autogefühl, we get to see if there’s a bit more substance to that style.
In this video, you get an in-depth look at the Audi Q5 Sportback, its design, its interior and its driving dynamics. The exterior of the Q5 Sportback is better looking than we had imagined it would. This video really gets a good look at its styling up close and it might be the best looking car in its class.
Step inside, though, and the cabin of the Q5 Sportback is essentially the same as the one you’ll find in the standard car. Still, it’s a high-tech, good looking interior that features nice materials and an ergonomic design. If you want to know what it’s like to sit inside the Audi Q5 Sportback, without actually heading to a dealership, this video is about as accurate as it gets.
Back seat space is actually decent, considering its sloping roofline. Autogefühl’s Thomas is rather tall and even was he was able to fit behind himself in the back seat, even if only by a bit.
In terms of the way it drives, it’s pretty standard Q5 fare. So it’s smooth, capable and comfortable but it’s not exactly sporty or interesting to drive. However, that’s not necessarily a bad thing, as customers appreciate the Q5’s smooth handling. If you want something sportier, either get the Audi SQ5 Sportback or an S4 Avant.
What the Audi Q5 Sportback is good for is being a stylish, comfortable and still surprisingly practical crossover for your daily driver needs.
