VIDEO: 802 hp Supercharged Audi R8 V10 Plus hits 201 mph

Ya know what car is really, really fast? The Audi R8 V10 Plus. With 610 hp from its 5.2 naturally-aspirated V10 engine, the Audi R8 V10 Plus can crest the 200 mph mark if given enough runway. However, it’s not easy to reach that speed, being that it typically runs out of space first. However, this MTM-tuned Audi R8 makes 802 hp, thanks to the addition of a supercharger among other things, and that helps it get to that 200 mph mark a lot faster.

In this video from AutoTopNL, the MTM Audi R8 V10 Plus hits 324 km/h on the Autobahn. For those of you too lazy to Google the km/h-mph conversion, 324 km/h equates to around 201 mph. A typical R8 V10 Plus would struggle to hit 201 mph on a highway, thanks to there not being enough road before it catches traffic ahead. This MTM-tuned R8, though, has so much power that it reaches that golden speed in rapid fashion.

The way that this supercharged Audi R8 accelerates is simply astonishing. Thanks to all of that power, torque and Quattro all-wheel drive grip, the MTM Audi R8 almost teleports ahead. It’s remarkable. In-gear pull is absurd, as it just flies through the horizon, making overtaken cars seem as if they’re standing still. It also makes a great noise, even if the supercharger takes away from the naturally-aspirated beauty of the standard car.

What’s even more impressive that the way it accelerates is just how smooth it is while doing it. Being an Audi R8, the suspension is rock-solid stable and its grip is tremendous. So it’s able to do a few 200 mph, or near, runs on the Autobahn and it never really seems nervous or twitchy, even at high-speed. We don’t know what sort of other upgrades that MTM made to this R8, if any at all, but we do know that this specific car is incredibly impressive.
