VIDEO: 705 hp ABT-tuned Audi RS6 Avant on AutoTopNL

C7 Audi RS6 Avant

This current-generation Audi RS6 is one of the most brutally fast cars on the market. In Performance-guise, the RS6 packs 605 hp and can get from 0-60 mph in under four seconds. While there are quite a few cars that are faster, not many of them can haul five passengers and luggage while doing so. It’s remarkable. But what happens if you give it even more power? The wonderfully brilliant psychopaths at ABT Sportline decided to find out.

In this new video from AutoTopNL, we take a look at an ABT-tuned Audi RS6 that packs a monstrous 705 hp. That’s at least 100 hp more than the standard car, which is already insanely fast. So you might think that it would become simply uncontrollable. However, in this video, it seems to putter around town just as easily as it demolishes pavement. It can be soft and comfortable but it can also turn into a Saturn V rocket at the flex of the driver’s right foot.

The way it hurls itself towards the horizon is almost absurd. There’s a muted growl followed by monstrous thrust and the scenery ahead starts to get very close very quickly. It isn’t the sort canyon carving machine that the BMW M5 or Mercedes-AMG E63 S are but is more of a leather-lined brute with a knack for embarrassing sports cars. It represents the common expression of lead hammer in a velvet glove.

But the most impressive part of the ABT-tuned car is the fact that it isn’t too insane. It isn’t too high-strung, nor is it too violent. It’s perfectly in keeping with the standard nature of the RS6. Only faster and with enough horsepower to make genuine exotic supercars blush. If you somehow need more power out of your Audi RS6 (which if you do, you might need some mental help), ABT seems like the place to go.
