I have to say, I’d love to own the gas station outside the Nurburgring. The amount of high-performance cars that fill up there every day must be extraordinary. So not only would I get to see all of those exotic cars, I’d be raking in enough money to buy one. The latest high-performance car to show up there was a test mule of the upcoming Audi S6, caught without any camouflage in this new spy video from Automotive Mike.
Honestly, the Audi S6 doesn’t need much camo. We already know what it’s going to look like. It’s going to look Audi A6 with quad exhaust pipes, sportier wheels and maybe a sportier bit of trim here and there. And guess what? That’s exactly what this car looks like.
However, that’s not bad thing, as this Audi S6 looks quite good. Those wheels are really smart looking on the S6, perfectly fitting its high-tech, sharp looks. Also, the quad pipes give it some much needed aggression. Still, we wish Audi would have done more with it. Maybe give it some darker trim, rather than chrome, some additional aero at both the front and back and maybe even sportier wheels. Still, it’s a handsome car and fits into its understated-yet-sporty role well.
When it pulls away in this video, we can tell that it’s powered by the brand’s 2.9 liter twin-turbocharged V6, the same one that powers the Audi RS4. We can tell because of the sound it makes, as it’s a subtle metallic growl and not the deep, burbly grumble of Audi’s 4.0 liter twin-turbo V8. That engine is probably reserved for the upcoming RS6. So the blown-six will do for now and it probably makes around 450 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque, though it could make a bit more just to give the S6 a bit of on-paper superiority.
