We keep seeing a lot of tuning shops pumping out insane power figures from Audi RS6 Avants. That 4.0 liter twin-turbo V8 must be one helluva engine if it can easily push over 1,000 on a regular basis. It’s not as if one or two tuners were able to do so, as we consistently see tuners cresting the four-figure power mark. The latest to do so is Klasen Motors.
In this new POV video from AutoTopNL, we take a look at Klasen’s latest creation — a 1012 hp Audi RS6 Avant with an Akrapovic exhaust.
Upon start up, the Akrapovic exhaust makes itself immediately known. It’s loud, deep and angry, as if the starter button woke an angry bear. Even just puttering around at sane speeds and sane rpms, it’s loud and violent sounding. It truly makes the Audi RS6 sound like a four-door supercar.
When you goose the throttle, the Klasen-tuned Audi RS6 Avant tears down the road like it’s trying to tear a hole in the fabric of space time. It’s seriously fast and brutal in its delivery. The Audi RS6 is known as a sort of everyday supercar, thanks to its blistering speed but also easy approachability. The RS6 isn’t difficult to drive fast. But when 1,000-plus horsepower hits the road, even the RS6 has a moderately hard time hanging on. Fantastic.
Combine that violent acceleration with furious noise and you truly get a four-door supercar with a big trunk and all-weather capability. It’s hard not to love the Audi RS6 for that. Not only is it crazy fast right out of the box but just a few tunes later and it’s supercar fast. Seriously. Klasen quotes the 0-60 mph time for its car at 3.0 seconds flat. That’s faster than an Audi R8 V10. In a four-door wagon with squishy seats and a huge trunk.
