Upcoming Audi RS3 envisioned as a Cabriolet

It was only a couple of days ago when we brought you speculative renders of the 2015 Audi RS3 three-door and five-door Sportback done by X-Tomi Design based on the A3 clubsport quattro concept and now we have a similar render but for the Cabriolet body style. It represents the work of Theophilus Chin who used the impressive clubsport quattro concept as foundation; hence the very aggressive body kit which looks more than nice on the open-top range-topping A3.

However, the chances of seeing an RS3 badge on the cabriolet are quite slim since most likely Audi will apply the range-topping derivate only on the sedan, as hinted by the aforementioned concept. We will find that out in the months to come since the model is rumored to be introduced in the second half of the year, possibly in October at the Paris Motor Show.

Regardless of the body style selected, the Audi RS3 will likely feature a detuned version of the concept’s 5-cylinder 2.5-liter TFSI engine which should deliver somewhere in the region of 400 PS, whereas in the radical concept it puts out a whopping 525 PS. Needless to say, the RS3 will adopt Audi’s reputable quattro all-wheel drive system and will pack an S tronic transmission.

Sales of the Audi RS3 will likely kick off late this year or early 2015.
