We know that the next-generation Audi A8 is on its way, with its official reveal happening July 11 and will likely go on sale late 2017, as a 2018 model. According to the folks in Ingolstadt, the next-gen Audi A8 will be the most technologically advanced car in the segment and possibly the entire industry. Those are bold claims but we fully expect Audi to really attempt this. However, it doesn’t matter if it’s the most technologically-advanced car in the world if it doesn’t look any good. Fortunately, it could look something like the render from Peisert Design.
Judging by some of the spy photos we’ve seen, this render is the closest thing we’ve seen to looking production ready. It clearly follows the design language brought about by new Audi designer Marc Lichte and first seen on the Audi Prologue Concept.
The massively wide Singleframe grille and narrow headlights give the front end an aggressive, yet high-tech and elegant look. The render also looks simple and evolutionary, much like Audis are known to be. So this render could very much be as close to the real deal as possible. I also think it’s safe to say that if the next-gen Audi A8 looks like this, it’s going to be a very handsome car.
