Ever since news broke of the brand-new B9 Audi A4, fans of the four-ringed brand have been wanting info on the next iteration of the A5. The Audi A5 is currently one of Audi’s best-looking and overall best cars in its lineup, so naturally we want to know what the next one is going to be like. We already know a few things about the successor to Walter de Silva’s masterpiece, in that it will be based on Audi’s new MLB platform and will share many components with the A4. This means it will be lighter than before, stiffer than before, it will handle better than before and it will be faster than before.
But one thing we don’t know is what it will look like, on both the exterior and interior. We do know that it will take some cues from the Audi Prologue Concept on the outside, but that’s about as much as we know. The interior, however, is likely to be extremely similar to the new Audi A4’s, maybe even identical. Well, some interior shots have just arisen from China, where the A5 was spied testing, and we get to take a look.
Car Magazine UK has some of these spy shots and we get a very good look at the interior of the A5. And our suspicions have been confirmed, as the A5’s interior looks nearly identical to the A4’s, with its singular air vent spanning the length of the dashboard and new center console. It’s very much the Audi A4’s interior, which is a very good thing, as the A4 interior is possibly the best interior in the class. Check out some of the pics at Car Mag UK.
