World Ducati Week is quickly approaching. This year’s event will be the ninth WDW, and among the extensive program, for what is sure to be an exciting weekend of Italian motorcycle passion, the company will be unveiling two Ducati motorcycles.
The company has used the event to unveil very significant models in the past, like the Scrambler by Ducati. This year, the company will be displaying a 90th anniversary special edition model, in addition to a MY2017 bike.
As for the special edition, there is no official word yet on what it will be based upon, however, this hasn’t kept many from speculating. Ducati hasn’t been any more forthcoming about the other vehicle either, in fact, maybe even a bit more secretive. The itinerary for the event has confirmed the unveiling, but has also disclosed that it will occur behind closed doors, in a private viewing.
Since the special edition will be marking the brand’s 90th anniversary, it may be based upon one of its retro Scrambler sub-brand models. Too, it may be based upon a Panigale, which arguably represents the real core values of the Ducati brand, in the purest and most unadulterated form.
Because World Ducati Week 2016 will be taking place July 1st-3rd, thankfully, the wait, the anticipation, won’t last too long. As always, we will keep you posted.
