For those that have been following news of the brand-spankin’ new Audi R15 TDi Le Mans prototype racer, you’ll know that things are very tense down in Sebring, Florida right now, only a day away from the start of the 57th running of the 12 Hours of Sebring.
That said, Audi has admitted that the 12 Hours of Sebring will serve as a full-on test session for the R15 TDi diesel racer in preparation for the 24 Hours of Le Mans at the Circuit de la Sarthe in June. Well, to prepare sportscar nuts for the 12 Hours of Sebring, ESPN will be airing it’s much acclaimed documentary Truth in 24.
Truth in 24 revolves around Audi Sport’s 2008 work leading up to and during the 2008 24 Hours of Le Mans, one of – if not the most- challenging races on the planet. Narrated by Jason Statham, the documentary follows the works drivers in the R10 TDi’s Dindo Capello, Mike Rockenfeller, Tom Kristensen, Allan McNish, Lucas Luhr, and Alexandre Premat as they progress through the season in an effort to keep ahead of the very fast competition in the Peugeot 908HDi at the very close Le Mans 24-hour endurance race. So far, the film has received nothing but praise due to it’s gripping coverage of Audi Sports teams at Le Mans, which come across as more of a giant, working family than just colleagues, further engrossing the viewer in the story. You can catch Truth in 24 tonight on ESPN (be sure to check for HD coverage!) at 8PM EST and get ready for the 12 Hours of Sebring starting tomorrow.
