Audi enthusiasts are in a perpetual state of sadness due to the fact that the Audi RS4 Avant hasn’t yet made it to America and that seems unlikely to change. However, there was a time, a brief time, when Audi sold an RS4 in America. The B7-generation RS4 to be exact. And one rare example is being sold on Bring-A-Trailer as we speak.
The B7 Audi RS4 was only sold as a sedan in America, simply because Americas won’t buy wagons. That doesn’t mean it wasn’t brilliant, though. In fact, it was and still is fantastic. Not only is the B7-gen one of the best looking RS4 generations in the model’s history but it also comes packed with a ton of sporty go-fast bits to make it drive as sporty as it looks.
Under the hood lies a similar 4.2 liter naturally-aspirated V8 engine. It’s said to make around 420 hp and 317 lb-ft of torque. All of that power is sent through a six-speed manual gearbox and Quattro all-wheel drive.
This specific car is a 2007 model and only has 69,000 miles on it. So it’s still in great shape and almost everything about the car is blemish-free. It’s not 100-percent perfect, as it is a 12 year old car, so its not Concourse-level but it’s dam close to it. It’s also being sold by its original owners, so it’s been kept very fresh.
At the time of writing this, there are still seven days left on the bid, with $17,777 as the current highest bid. So we fully except this car’s cost to jump up significant at the end of its week. The car is painted in Avus Grey, one of the best colors offered on the B7, and features a black interior. It looks incredibly well kept with no visible scratches or dents.
I wish more car enthusiasts paid attention to Audi Sport and its cars, as could we’d get a lot more of its products, like this wonderful RS4.
