Following a fracas between main host Jeremy Clarkson and producer, Oisin Tymon, Top Gear as we knew it had come to an end. Ever since its end, rumors had been spreading about the three hosts creating a new program. Netflix, Amazon and ITV were all rumored to be picking up the new show. However, it seems Amazon has won the boys over, as their new show will air next year on Amazon Prime’s Instant Video streaming service.

It seems as if the previous “fracas” worked out in the favor of Clarkson, Hammond and May. This especially works for Clarkson, who is now free to say more than the very strict BBC used to allow him. He spoke out, saying “I feel like I’ve climbed out of a biplane and into a spaceship.” This is in reference to the new age style of web streaming programs compared to the old-school style of the BBC. The three host also spoke out on Twitter about their new jobs.
Good news! I’ve got a job with @AmazonVideoUK. Bad news! So have the other two. #AmazonPrime #ItSaysHere

This new deal is an exciting one for any fans of Top Gear. It was widely considered the best motoring show in the world, and was even the most watched factual program…in the world. Now, the three boys are back to making us laugh and showing us some of the coolest and fastest cars on the planet. Cheers.
