Study says Audi A3 Sportback e-tron has the most stable residual value in its class

The Audi A3 Sportback e-tron has managed to win the Wertmeister 2015 title given by Auto Bild. The German magazine collaborated with market research institute Schwacke to find out the cars which have the best residual value in their respective class and the e-tron A3 managed to win in the compact segment. The car’s managed to achieve a forecasted residual value of 57.3 percent which was enough to grant the model victorious in the “Compact Car” category.

Aside from the Audi A3 Sportback e-tron, the A6 Avant 3.0 TDI competition secured second place in the “Full-Size” category while the A7 3.0 TDI competition obtained third place in the “Luxury Class”. Lastly, in the “Small SUV” segment, the Audi Q3 2.0 TDI quattro finished second.

It should be mentioned that Auto Bild and Schwacke have been giving the Wertmeister title on an annual basis for the last 12 years. There are 12 different categories and this year 40 models and 14 brands had to battle for the top spot and the award ceremony was organized last night in Berlin, Germany.
