SPIED: Check out the 2020 Audi A3 with an uncovered face

We’ve seen some spy photos of the upcoming 2020 Audi A3 already and are very optimistic about its new look. From what we’ve seen, the next-gen A3, in either sedan or Sportback configuration, is going to look very good. Though, it must be said, this conclusion is only coming from seeing photos of the A3 wearing heavy camouflage. Now, some new spy photos have been revealed, showing off the A3 sedan with an uncovered face. (We don’t own the spy photos but you can check them out here)

In these slightly blurry photos, we see an un-camouflaged black 2020 Audi A3, seemingly being transported, with a cover being pulled back to reveal its front end. From what we can see, the new A3 will look sharper, more modern and more aggressive than the current car. It will also look similar to the rest of the new Audi lineup, which isn’t all that surprising.

The new Singleframe grille lacks surrounding trim, much like all new Audis, and it looks very good. That grille also features the same sort of hexagonal, chain-link insert design seen on many new Audis. Flanking that are headlights that actually look similar to the ones seen on the A3 now but a bit sportier. And it also gets some new front air intakes, which look fake but might be real on sportier models.

That’s about all we can see that’s new but it’s encouraging nevertheless. The next-gen Audi A3 is going to be a good looking car and one that we’re very excited about. If it can manage to improve its driving dynamics as well as its looks, the next-gen A3 is going to be a fantastic little premium car. Which is important, as both BMW and Mercedes-Benz have launched new cars in the segment, so a new Audi A3 is needed.
