It’s not hard to imagine what the upcoming Audi RS Q8 is going to look like. Think about what a standard Q8 looks like, add some larger front air intakes, bigger wheels, some extra aera and massive, ovular exhausts. Then you get the RS Q8. Which is why Audi isn’t even trying to camouflage its test mules anymore. Seen in some new spy photos, the Audi RS Q8 isn’t even really wearing camouflage anymore. Instead, it’s just an Audi Sport-branded wrap. (We don’t own the spy photos but Motor1 has them)
Thanks to these new spy photos, and Audi Sport’s brazenness, we get to see the soon-to-be-released Audi RS Q8 in almost all of its glory. Up front, it sports massive air intakes in its fascia. They’re combined with a new lower front lip and some added aerodynamics. It also seems to get a new grille insert, which is similar to the hexagonal design of previous Audi Sport products, just with a more chain-link-style design.
The black and red-liveried Audi RS Q8 in these photos also sits on enormous black wheels with red accents to match. A new side skirt visually lowers the car but it’s still a big ole barge. Out back, it gets a new roof spoiler, which looks sporty and aggressive, a new rear diffuser and some ovular exhaust tips, as expected. This is the first Q8-based car with real exhausts, which is nice.
It doesn’t look bad, though. The Audi Q8 is massive vehicle, so turning one into a high-performance monster is hilarious and extreme. So the car should look hilarious and extreme and it does. It’s brutish and violent, with gobs of power and athletic abilities that contradict its size. Imagine The Hulk as a car. That’s the Audi RS Q8. Thankfully, Audi stopped hiding it.
