SPIED: Audi Q8 caught testing in snow

Although we’ve already seen the Audi Q8 Concept debut in Detroit, we still don’t know exactly what it’s going to look like. The Q8 Concept gave us a great idea, with its Prologue-inspired front end and UR Quattro-inspired rear end. However, the Concept is always a bit more ambitious than the final production-ready car. Thankfully, though, some new spy photos show that the final product will actually carry over a lot of the Concept’s looks.

We don’t actually own the spy photos but they can be seen at Autocar.

It still very clearly retains the Concept’s rakish rear end, Quattro-inspired C-pillar and aggressive styling. Audi brought a Q7 along for testing and it’s clear how much more aggressive the Q8 looks than the Q7. Audi boss Rupert Stadler claims that the Q8 will be the brand’s flagship SUV. But he also said that it would be a car Audi customers bought as a leisure car, something to actually drive for fun.

“I could imagine an executive being driven to work every day in their A8 and then spending the weekend driving themselves in their Q8,” said Stadler.

We’re extremely excited to see what the Audi Q8 becomes when it finally makes its debut next year. Check out these spy photos and get excited for what’s to come.
