SPIED: 2020 Audi S4 Avant Facelift gets new headlights, RS4-style face

This current B9-generation of Audi A4/S4/RS4 is still a very good looking car. Despite newer cars in its segment being revealed, the A4/S4 is still very fresh looking. However, that doesn’t mean it can’t get better looking and that’s exactly what Audi is working on at the moment. Some new spy photos have surfaced, showing off the upcoming 2020 Audi S4 Avant with a new face. (We don’t own the photos but see them here)

Up front is where the biggest changes are. So the Audi S4 Avant, along with the facelifted Audi A4, gets new headlights that no longer have the little notches cut out of them. To be honest, the lookbetter this way, with a smoother, more premium look.

It also gets a new Singleframe Grille insert design, now mimicking the “honeycomb” design of Audi’s more powerful, more expensive ‘RS’ cars. There are also new, more aggressive front air-intakes that also look RS4-like. So the upcoming Audi S4 Avant will be sportier looking than the current car but still don’t expect anything drastic.

We’re not sure if the interior will be getting any update but we suspect just a bit. It will like feature the same cabin as the current car but with some small, added tweaks here and there.

Aside from the front end, there don’t seem to be many differences between the pre and post facelift versions. Hell, it still even keeps what looks like the same taillights and quad exhausts. Thank the Car Gods Audi didn’t go with fake ones.Though, that’s not really expected. The current Audi S4 Avant is still a great looking car and one that fans will be happy with for years to come. But keeping it fresh is always important, allowing the A4 to stay competitive in a very hotly contested segment.
