Speed Design tricks out the Audi R8 Spyder

Speed Design has recently finished working on an Audi R8 Spyder equipped with the PPI Razor GTR kit. Featuring what could be the boldest design ever for an R8, the custom car features specially developed doors manufactured from carbon fiber but equipped with interesting cutouts providing a view of the interior cabin.

The body of the car has received a 3M vinyl reflective satin black chrome wrap while the heavily revised front fascia benefits from carbon fiber canards, an extended and lowered splitter as well as a tweaked grille. There’s also a newly developed vented hood while at the back we notice a reshaped bumper incorporating the different exhaust system and an aggressive diffuser.

This particular 2014MY Audi R8 V10 Spyder rides on dark brushed aluminum 19-inch front & 20-inch rear ADV.1 Wheels alloys. The V10 5.2-liter naturally aspirated engine benefits from a remapped ECU which together with the custom exhaust has enabled an increased output of no less than 621 bhp at 7,600 rpm, enough for a 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) run in only 3.2 seconds.

As a final touch to the exterior, the open-top supercar has been equipped with a carbon fiber bike rack weighing 15.8 lbs. Stepping inside the cabin, the steering wheel is covered in Alcantara and carbon while the Recaro driver’s seat is also wrapped in leather.
