A second-gen Audi TT has been transformed into an R8 lookalike by the British tuners from Kahn Design. Those who can’t afford Audi’s range-topping supercar can settle for the TT featuring a body kit and paint scheme that resembles the R8 and for the untrained eye it looks like the real deal. The package has been around for quite some time and it includes R8-like front and rear bumpers, front grille and boot lid spoilers, side blades and an optional quad exhaust system
Kahn Design is also providing their set of 20-inch RS 600 alloy wheels along with vented food pedals for the interior cabin. All these goodies are available for £1,996 but you will have to pay an additional £1,500 for the necessary fitting. Various exterior paint schemes are available but keep in mind these cost extra money.
While the second-gen Audi TT turned into an R8 impersonator won’t fool everyone, the real deal is expected to receive a second generation in 2015 and will continue with the naturally aspirated 4.2 V8 and 5.2 V10 engines which will be followed by a smaller turbocharged motor in the years to come. The model will share many of its internals with the Lamborghini Huracan and is expected to go on a diet of around 59 kg (130 lbs) and will keep the quattro all-wheel drive system.
