Redline Speed Worx creates the ultimate sleeper Audi S6

The Audi RS6 is something that currently eludes US buyers. For reasons we don’t quite understand, Audi will sell American customers and RS5 and an RS7, but not an RS6. Maybe there isn’t enough of a market for that exact car, but the existence of the other two RS models makes that theory a bit dubious. Nevertheless, the RS6 is something us Yanks cannot buy, unless we spring for an older model. But if you want something brand new, the fastest Audi A6 variant you can get is an Audi S6. But Redline Speed Worx, in West Green Brook, NJ, has decided to change that with a little help from APR Tuning.

RSW Audi S6 turbos

RSW’s latest Audi S6 project turns what is an already fast car into an absolute monster. First, they start with the turbos and some engine tuning. The Audi S6 and RS6 actually share an engine, Audi’s 4.0 liter TFSI twin-turbocharged V8. However, the engine in the RS6 has bigger turbos on it, as well as some other fancy bits. So the folks at APR and RSW have developed a kit that includes the RS6’s larger turbochargers, as well as tuning to make it run properly, for the standard Audi S6.

After the turbo and tuning upgrade, the Audi S6 actually makes more power than a stock RS6 does. This upgraded S6 develops 634 hp and 671 lb-ft of torque on regular 93 octane pump fuel. All of that power is also easy to use and drive around town with while also being able to cruise at high speeds for long periods of time. So this isn’t some high-strung track-only engine, it’s still a proper Audi after the upgrade. Thank the tuning for that. However, if you want to go absolutely insane, put some race fuel in the tank and this upgraded S6 will put out a monstrous 707 hp and 714 lb-ft of torque. That’s enough to tow small planets out of orbit.

But that isn’t all. RSW also added a full turboback exhaust system from Milltek that features 2.76? High Flow Downpipes and a Resonated Valvetronic Catback with black ceramic exhaust tips. So not only will it have monstrous power, but it will sound like a monster as well. RSW also added a new Alpha Turbo Cooler System which works considerably better than the stock cooling system for the turbochargers and keeps the intake air nice and cool, even on hot days or during heavy track use, to insure that the S6 gets all of its horsepower.

So Redline Speed Worx was able to take the standard Audi S6 and turn it into the ultimate sleeper. This S6 doesn’t look any different than the standard car, save for the black ceramic exhaust tips, but it has the power to crush nearly everything it encounters on the road. Forget a wolf, this Audi S6 is a monster in sheep’s clothing.
