Real Madrid players have recently took delivery of their yearly Audis which they can use for free over the course of a year. This is just one of the perks of being a player for a major team like Real Madrid, to get to drive a brand new Audi for 12 months, with the possibility of choosing another car for the next year and so on. Cristiano Ronaldo previously drove an RS6 Avant and now he selected an S8, the same model preferred by Sergio Ramos.
The most popular model among the players was the Audi Q7 as it was chosen by no less than 12 players and all of them went for the 3.0 TDI engine. Other choices include an S7 Sportback selected by Toni Kroos whereas Raphael Varane, Dani Carvajal and Álvaro Arbeloa drove home in an SQ5.
Among this yearly Audis there’s also an A8 3.0 TDI selected by Real Madrid’s coach Carlo Ancelotti. The cheapest cars among all is an S3 preferred by Dani Pacheco and Asier Illarramendi. Lastly, the A5 Sportback 3.0 TDI was the choice of Jesé Rodríguez.
The reason why Audi is handing over free cars is because they are Real Madrid’s main sponsor and providing free-to-use cars is a great way of product placement which is very effective nowadays.
