Porsche and Audi arguing about platforms?

According to a new report, apparently within the VW’s Group there currently a platform debate between Porsche and Audi. You all know Volkswagen took full control of Porsche approximately two years ago but it seems the Stuttgart-based automaker isn’t getting along that well with Audi. It is believed Porsche is very upset with Audi because they rejected their plans for the MSB – Modular Standard Platform even though this architecture could form the basis of the next generation A6, A7 and A8.

The same source indicates Porsche doesn’t really like the MLV Evo platform developed by Audi which will be used on basically all big crossovers created within the Volkswagen Group. Audi is also not very satisfied with Porsche either because together with Lamborghini they don’t like Porsche’s proposed plan for a sports car platform serving as a bases for the Lamborhgini Huracan successor set for a 2021 launch as well as for the third generation Audi R8 programmed to come out around 2022. Rumors are suggesting that Lamborghini actually wants to develop its own carbon fiber chassis.
