A fully camouflaged prototype of the next generation Audi S4 Sedan has been caught on camera testing on the Nurburgring. Because of the heavy amount of disguise, many would be tempted to say this is a regular A4 (B9 generation), but if you look closely you are going to notice the beefier air vents and a quad exhaust system.
In addition, it also seems to sit a bit lower than a standard A4 which means it has a sportier and stiffer suspension setup. There’s no word about what engine hides underneath that camouflaged hood, but most likely Audi will stick to the TFSI V6 3.0-liter from the outgoing model where it generates 333 PS and 440 Nm. However, expect the engine to be massaged to somewhere in the region of 350-360 PS while torque will also be bumped accordingly.
Just like the regular A4, the all-new S4 will ride on the MLB Evo platform which means that aside from packing more punch it will also shed some serious weight, with reports indicating a massive 100 kg diet. This will make the new model substantially quicker than the outgoing variant which performs the 0-100 km/h sprint in 5 seconds (5.1s Avant).
Since the all-new Audi A4 will be introduced before the end of this month, expect the S4 to show its face early 2016.
