New Audi Q5 receives five stars in Euro NCAP

The European New Car Assessment Programme is the governing body in Europe that rates the safety of all new cars. The brand-new, second-generation Audi Q5 just received the NCAP’s highest grade of five stars. That ranks the Audi Q5 as the safest vehicle in its class.

Audi’s new Q5 received top marks in all categories, such as occupant protection, child safety and pedestrian protection. Another area that earned the Q5 top marks as in its advanced safety systems, which are standard on all models. Things like Audi’s Pre Sense City and Emergency Braking systems, which can help autonomously brake the car for pedestrians.

The first-gen Audi Q5 was one of the brand’s most successful models of all time, so there are high expectations for this new car. Not only is it better looking but it packs better technology and far better driving dynamics. Just that in itself is enough to bolster big sales for the new Q5. Add in increased safety ratings and the new Audi Q5 should be a huge hit.
