As a fun little game for Audi fans during Quarantine, the four-ringed brand came up with a bit of a social media challenge for people at home to create… four rings. Essentially, the challenge is to create an Audi logo (the iconic interlocking four-rings) with anything really. There were all sorts of creative recreations but the most fun of all actually came from Mercedes-AMG.
Obviously, the two brands are direct rivals, with AMG products directly competing with Audi Sport models. However, in a show of solidarity during these bleak times, Mercedes-AMG decided to create Audi’s four rings in a cloud of tire smoke.
Using a Mercedes-AMG C63 S Cabriolet, the brand did some epic burnouts in the shape of four rings. Admittedly, if you watch the video of it, you’ll realize that it’s fake. A C63 did some smokey burnouts but the screen then cuts away and four perfect burnout-circles create the Audi logo. So the logo was actually made in Photoshop.
That’s really not important, though. What’s important is that two brands, which are typically rivals, had a nice moment of solidarity during very uncertain times. It’s a nice gesture from on rival brand to another and a very cool recreation of the Audi logo. So good for Mercedes-AMG, and its social media team, for coming up with a unique and interesting idea.
For anyone else that wants to join in, all you have to do is recreate the Audi logo in a creative and interesting way and post it to social media with the hashtag #FourRingsChallenge. While we doubt anyone will come up with anything more interesting than a *smokey burnout but it’s still a fun game to play while you’re home with nothing else to do. So stay home, stay safe and make some fun Audi logos.
