mbDESIGN modifies Audi R8 V8

mbDESIGN has recently finished working on an Audi R8 V8 which has received a series of updates. Even though the R8 is bound to receive an all-new generation, it still manages to attract the attention of many tuners who find Ingolstadt’s supercar a very desirable automobile. One such example is mbDESIGN who applied a F16 Arctic Aggressor fighter jet livery onto the body of the car, making it look a lot like Jon Olsson’s Audi RS6 Avant.

It sits on 20-inch rims wrapped around in 235/20 ZR20 front and 305/25 ZR20 rear Dunlop Sport Maxx GT tires and it has also been brought closer to the ground thanks to a GT coilover kit. The car in question is a prefacelift 2009 Audi R8 V8 equipped with the side blades and side skirts of the V10 version while the custom front splitter is made from carbon fiber. At the back there’s a bespoke custom trunk cover and an R8 GT-sourced carbon rear panel.

mbDESIGN has also installed a carbon diffuser provided by SuperCar24, original Audi carbon mirror caps, as well as carbon fiber inserts for the engine area. Speaking of the motor, the naturally-aspirated V8 4.2 mill now develops 453 PS (333 kW) thanks to an updated engine software, a K&N air filter and a stainless steel Capristo exhaust system featuring electronic valve control.

Inside the cabin of this Audi R8 V8 there’s full Alcantara upholstery, a Bang & Olufsen sound system and an original GT carbon fiber package.
