The aftermarket specialists at Liberty Walk are previewing their upcoming kit tailored to the first generation Audi R8. Their wide body package was originally developed for the Nissan GT-R but eventually it was customized for other models such as the Lamborghini Aventador, Ferrari 458, Dodge Challenger Hellcat and the Porsche 911. Now, the next car to receive a similar treatment is the old R8 which is being previewed in a series of computer generated images.
The wide body conversion certainly makes the car stand out from the crowd thanks to those bolt-on bulging fenders and enlarged side skirts while the custom front and rear bumpers are also more aggressive than the standard ones. It has also received a sporty suspension setup that has lowered the R8 considerably and at the back we notice a ducktail spoiler which probably will look better in real life than in these renders.
Other noticeable features include a massive front splitter made from carbon fiber and there’s also a new set of alloy wheels that blend in nicely with the rest of the heavily customized body developed by the Japanese tuners who are big fans of wide kits. We won’t be too surprised if in the years to come the second generation R8 will receive a similar treatment.
