Liberty Walk previews their custom Audi R8 ahead of SEMA debut

Reputable tuner Liberty Walk is providing a second glimpse at its heavily modified first generation custom Audi R8, following a preview back in August. The supercar is bound to show up in Las Vegas early next month at SEMA, but we get an early look courtesy of these images showing the car which was built by Auto Performance Aesthetics Centre in Maryland, United States.

As you would expect from a Liberty Walk project, the changes compared to the standard model are quite radical and give the R8 a whole new look thanks to the much wider body kit, beefier side skirts, exposed screws and a new rear diffuser made from carbon fiber. It’s also got a unique front spoiler and a huge trunk lid spoiler that makes it look more menacing. This particular custom Audi R8 has also received an air suspension and as you can see it sits very low and has received a new set of very wide wheels like you see on most of Liberty Walk’s cars.

In terms of pricing, a full body kit made from carbon fiber reinforced plastic costs $21,620 while the aforementioned air suspension (AirREX) is an extra $8,900. Some of the body bits and pieces can be purchased individually, such as the $3,780 rear wing (from CFRP), $4,320 front diffuser (CFRP) and others.

We will have all the juicy details next week as the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show will open its doors on November 3 for auto media.
