Lewis Hamilton’s brother Nicolas will take part in this year’s British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) with an Audi S3 sedan. Suffering from a neurological condition called cerebral palsy, the 22-year old Brit is going to be the first disabled driver to race in the BTCC with the Essex-based AmD Tuning team. This isn’t his racing debut as Nicolas previously competed in the Renault Clio Cup in 2011 and 2012 as well as in European touring car races.
His BTCC debut is scheduled for June 27-28 at Croft circuit before heading out to Snetterton, Rockingham, Silverstone and then to the season finale set to be organized at the legendary Brands Hatch track.
Because he doesn’t have a BTCC license to be eligible to win championship points, Nicolas Hamilton is going to compete as a “guest” entrant in the five events.
His brother F1 champion Lewis Hamilton won the first race of the 2015 season in Australia and he is now getting ready for Sunday’s race in Malaysia.
