Audi is one of the sponsors for the 2016 Emmy Awards, something it’s done before. The ad it’s made for this year’s Emmys depicts a family living in a house in the middle of the Death Valley desert in Nevada just so they can drive their brand-new Audi R8 V10 Plus as fast and for as long as they’d like. For instance, if they run out of coffee, it’s a long and fast run to the nearest shop.
When the husband finally gets to the tiny little coffee shed, he realizes he forgot his wallet. That should be a long drive back, but fortunately his wife arrives in the second R8 with it. It’s remarkable that they’re able to find fuel and a place to wash the two R8s out there, but if there’s a will, there’s a way, I suppose.
But more importantly, if this lifestyle seems appealing to you, you can sample it for a day or two. Audi is renting this Death Valley home on Airbnb for a not so insignificant $610 per night. However, you do get quite a lot for your money. It does indeed come with an Audi R8 V10 Plus in the garage, which is worth the money in itself. But it also comes with a personal chef to make all of your meals.
The house isn’t so bad, either. A 1,200 square-foot home boasts a 900 square-foot deck with suck-in hot tub. Admittedly, it’s in the middle of the desert, so it’s not exactly an all-inclusive resort. But it is pretty damn nice and it comes with an Audi R8 for your time there.
