If you haven’t heard of Paul Wallace yet, he’s a 23-year-old youngster who managed to purchase a second hand Audi R8 with the money he earned through the videos he uploaded on YouTube with supercars. His channel is called SuperCarsofLondon and has around 70,000 subscribers and almost 69 million views.
He decided to ditch his old Vauxhall Astra 1.6 and upgraded to a second hand pre-facelift Audi R8 equipped with the manual transmission. He paid 50,000 pounds for the supercar and now he decided to take the vehicle to do some grocery shopping and find out how useful is the R8 in day-to-day conditions.
As you would imagine, the rear-engined R8 is far from being practical or suitable for this sort of activity since its front trunk is quite small and can hold a limited quantity of cargo. However, it should be enough for a light shopping session consisting of two or three medium-sized bags.
Needless to say, Paul didn’t get the Audi R8 to carry his groceries, he bought it since he considers it to be his dream car and describes it as being “amazing inside and out, it drives fantastic and sounds brilliant.”
