First known crash of the second-generation Audi R8

It’s always a sad day when someone crashes a supercar. It’s sad and maddening for a couple of reasons. Firstly, when anything rare, expensive and desirable is destroyed, it’s slightly annoying because it generally shows a complete disregard for something’s value. Secondly, when people completely disregard the value of something you really, really want and completely destroys it, it can make you both jealous and angry at the same time. Well, that’s exactly what happened a couple of days ago.

According to Jalopnik, a man named lovedbeard on Instagram has some pictures of the first wrecked second-gen Audi R8. Being that the Audi R8¬†only just recently debuted, it’s very possible that this is the first totaled new R8. It isn’t all that surprising, though. Supercars like the R8 have much more power than many people are used to and most drivers think they can handle it. Most of them can’t and things like this happen.

According to lovedbeard, which might be the most reliable source name of all time, “So a guy came to my sons place today and wanted to test drive this R8. Took it out clipped a curb and baaammmmm flipped the beast!!!” followed by a *monkey face* *monkey face* and another *monkey face* emoji. Riveting stuff.

However, it is sad that a new Audi R8 has already been totaled. The new R8 is such a fantastic car and so good looking that it pains us enthusiasts to see it destroyed. Almost like seeing a Picasso get burned. It’s bothering me so much I might have to *crying face* *crying face* *angry face* at all of this *smiling poop*.
