VIDEO: Is This the Fastest Audi RS6 Avant in the World?

For tuners, the Audi RS6 Avant is an incredible blank canvas on which to create some of the most absurdly powerful cars. Its 4.0 liter twin-turbo V8 — which makes 591 horsepower and 590 lb-ft in stock form — has immense tuning potential and can easily double its power output. In this new video from Auditography, we may be seeing the Mona Lisa of tuned Audi RS6’s.

This monster Audi RS6 Avant makes 1,000 horsepower and 750 lb-ft of torque, thanks to its new tune. The comprehensive tune was a collaboration between to Californian tuning shops; Pacific German and VF Engineering, which is why it’s called the PG-VF Edition RS6 1of1. Also, obviously, it’s a one-off car.

To make 1,000 horsepower, PG/VF gave the Audi RS6 Avant a VF Engineering Stage 3 ECU tune, CSF High Performance intercoolers, an Eventuri Intake kit, a TTE Turbo upgrade, and an Akrapovic exhaust system. And while it’s not the most powerful tuned RS6 we’ve ever seen, it might be the fastest, getting to 60 mph in a claimed 2.7 seconds. The stock car does the same spring in about 3.6 seconds, for reference.

To help it handle a bit more sharply, it gets ABT Sportsline anti-roll bars, 22″ VF wheels, and sticky Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. Its MaxtonDesign body kit also makes it look the part, along with the motorsport-inspired livery.

Audi’s RS6 Avant is an awesome car from the factory; packing performance, comfort, practicality, and style into one perfectly harmonious package. If there’s a flaw with it, though, it’s that the RS6 isn’t as fast as its rivals. While it’s still plenty fast, owners will always have the nagging knowledge that BMW M5 and Mercedes-AMG E63 owners will be faster. Thankfully, companies like PG and VF have proven that the RS6 can easily be tuned to make jaw dropping levels of power and performance.
